To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM E. PARSONS, Jr., of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Cigar-Lighting Lamps and Advertisers, of which the following is a specification.

The object of the invention is to provide a cigar-lighting device or lamp which will not onlybe adapted for the purpose of cigar-lighting, but at the same time embody an attractive and effective means of advertising.

The present invention relates in general to arm supports and more particularly concerns a novel article of manufacture for supporting the upper arms in a generally horizontal position. The support is light weight, relatively easy to fabricate, low in cost, and especially useful for relieving arm fatigue of a woman who styles her own hair.

For a number of years, home permanent wave kits have been very popular with many women because attractive hair styling may be obtained at relatively low cost. However, the time required for a woman to complete a home permanent is considerable since each curl must be individually formed by appropriately inserting a curler. As a result, the arms remain extended above the shoulders for long periods of time and become extremely tired. In addition, a large number of time-consuming movements are required to grasp the individual curlers from a dressing table and instert them into the hair.

Accordingly, the present invention contemplates and has as an important object reducing the arm fatigue of a woman styling her own hair.

Another object of the invention is to provide means helpful in reducing the time-motion product in connection with styling one's hair by reducing the extent of arm motion involved in transferring pin curlers from a receptacle to the hair.

It is still another object of the invention to achieve the preceding objects with a low-cost light-weight structure of simple form.

This invention relates to drying hangers and more particularly to a hanger for drying brassieres when washed.

The general object of the invention is to provide a brassiere drying hanger constructed and arranged to cause the brassiere to retain its normal shape after it has been dried on said hanger.

A more particular object of the invention is to provide an adjustable brassiere drying hanger, by means of which the bust forms of the hanger may be adjusted laterally toward or away from each other, to fit the breast cups of brassieres spaced at different distances apart.

A wall mounted isometric push-up machine for a user is disclosed. Included is a first member having a first end and a second end, a second member having a second end and a first end that is pivotally connected to the first end of the first member, an applicator being fixedly connected to the second end of the second member, wherein a spring is used for regulating the tension the applicator applies to the back of the user so that the user can choose his own comfortable amount.

This invention relates generally to toys and novelties for the use and enjoyment of young people, and the primary object of our invention is to provide a toy or novelty hat which will not only be entertaining to youngsters but which will also be educational at least to some extent.

A further object of the invention is to provide a hat or helmet to be worn on the head of the user and associated with which is a planetary element connected by an extensible, spring retracted tether to the hat but adapted to be driven and motivated into an orbital path by a rolling, rotating movement of the head about the upright axis of the wearer's neck. Thus the hat may simulate a space station from which is launched a satellite to travel in orbit about said station, said satellite being, of course, the planetary element before mentioned and which normally will rest in a centered position atop the hat but which is placed into orbit by movement of the head as also stated. Since said planetary element is normally retracted to its centered position atop the hat by action of the spring biased tether or flexible cord connecting the element to the hat the diameter of the orbit into which the element is flung will be determined by the vigor with which the head is moved to maintain said element in its "flying" condition. This not only places a premium upon the vigor or dexterity of the head movements, as is necessary to maintain the interest of young people in such toys, but the action as a whole will serve to teach the user something of the nature and effects of centrifugal forces, by varying the head movement the satellite bay be caused to travel in other than circular orbits about the hat, teaching the user and his companions the differences between the terms apogee and perigee as just two examples of the technical terminology brought into common usage by the recent advances in space exploration and rocket travels.

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE

A toy device providing an adjustable belt to encircle the bodyof a user, a self supporting hoop surrounding and spaced from teh belt and connected to the belt by radial elastic members at spaced intervals.

This invention relates to toys and particularly to a toy to be worn on a portion of the body such as the waist or head and which moves vertically and circumferentially about the body portion to which it is attached. The device provides exercise as well as amusement and is designed to provide a large amount of movement of the device with a small movement of the wearer's body.

The fluid filled neck exerciser includes an annulus filled with a fluid such as water and/or air and a head support device. The head support device has attachment members allowing the removable attachment of the annuls, the head support device including adjustment structure allowing adjustment of the size of the head support device for heads of differing sizes. The annulus may be selectively filled with a desired amount of fluid and with the device placed on the head of the user, the head may be rotated to perform exercises such as rehabilitation therapy or muscle development. The fluid filled neck exerciser provides exercise for the entire cervical musculature by movement in predetermined patterns.
